I have been stuck with writers block! So many ideas swirling in my head, but, when I start to write, I either goo blank or decide it sounds stupid.

Tonight, I decided heck with it, I’m just going to write my day!

My mornings start off with Coffee!! During this time, I check messages, team pages, and scroll facebook for a bit.

Then, I go through my list of affirmations, and write down 10 things I’m thankful for in my life.

After that, I turn on an audio book, check my planner, and do about an hour or so of work.

Today, I put together business info folders. Let me know if you’d like one!

Next in my day is Munchkin’s schoolwork, lunch, and finish school. My husband usually comes in for lunch, so we get to spend time with him.

Today was beautiful, so we loaded up a couple of our dogs and went for a hike this afternoon.

I love my business! It allows me to spend my days with my kids, and go do fun things!

But, I do have to actually spend some time working it – you can’t treat your business like a hobby and expect to make real money at it. Granted, I do not have to spend 8 hours a day chained to my desk. In fact, this morning, I set my printer for everything I needed for the folders, then, went outside. It is great!

Does anyone do time blocks? Do you have any tips? That is what I’m working on doing with my daily, personal schedule.

Doll house update

In case anyone was wondering….

Yes. We are working on it. No. It’s not built yet.

It would be nice if I had time to just work on it until it’s finished, but, life keeps interfering. Lol

We do have the sides and most of the trim painted, sanded, and painted again. There are several pieces that we’re just not sure what color they’re supposed to be.

My husband suggested we go ahead and start building, and paint those pieces as we figure out what they are.

This really is fun, although sometimes my patience runs a little thin. Short periods of time working on it with a 5 year old seem to be best. She really loves this project!

I couldn’t believe my nails still looked good as much scrubbing as it took to get the paint off! I really thought I’d have to redo them!

Big project

‘It’s exactly the one I wanted!!’ She screamed when she opened it.

Poor thing didn’t realize just how big of a project it is to put together.

In all honesty, neither did Mom.

I’m quite overwhelmed by all the pieces,  but, we’re plugging away at it! We have the first coat of paint on all the big pieces, and I’m working on sanding them in my spare moments.

My mom and I built one when I was little. Well,  I helped with the decorating.  I’ve been looking forward to doing this with Munchkin.  Thanks to my Color Street bonus,  we were finally able to get it!

Making memories!

Getting ready for Christmas!

I love decorating!!!

Actually,  I don’t really like all the work.  It’s a pain in the booty!

But, I do love the way my house looks when it’s finished!

We’re almost finished! Just have a few wall hangings and finishing touches left.

Oh, and need to finish packing and storing Halloween decorations that are stashed in a corner! I keep forgetting about that corner….

Working on Summer Bucket List

Have you ever made a Summer Bucket list with your little ones? If not, do it!!

It was actually eye opening – I was expecting trips here there and everywhere, and instead, it was mostly simple things – catch fireflies, look at clouds.  Definite reminder that it’s Time, not money spent, that makes the most memories and is wanted.

So, I have been working in the mornings and at night, so we can go make memories and work on this list in the afternoons.

I hope everyone is taking time to make some good memories this summer!

Sunday Funday

This afternoon, I received a text from one of my best friends, asking if I wanted to go check out the new Hobby Lobby with her. Of course, I said, yes! Munchkin and I have both been anxiously watching the progress of the building when we go grocery shopping, from groundwork to completion. (Don’t tell Munchkin, but, I did sneak in on opening weekend while on a rare childless grocery shopping trip.)

I tell Munchkin where we’re going to go, and she very excitedly got dressed up. My BFF and her little boy pick us up, and away we go!

And, arrived to an empty parking lot. Duh. Today is Sunday. We both knew Hobby Lobby is closed on Sundays.

Munchkin was so disappointed!!! J. on the other hand, was perfectly fine with running into Wal-Mart instead. Munchkin finally got over her disappointment, and we had a fun afternoon.

It doesn’t always matter where you’re at, it’s the company you’re with!
