Western Oklahoma Photographer

Hey, hey!

I have been building a new website for my photography biz! Check it out, and let me know what you think:

I know I slowed down on my Photography for awhile, I needed the break to rejuvenate and refocus. I’ve been taking some courses during that time, and taking the photos that I wanted to take. It refueled my passion!

Keep an eye out, we have several themed minis in the works! The first one coming very soon will be Teddy Bear Picnic! I can’t wait!

Plus, we do have dates open for short or full sessions!

For now, all sessions are outdoors, we can’t do any in studio. We are disinfecting props, changing tent, e.t.c after every session.

Now is the time to start booking those 2021 Senior sessions! We’re working on a few different session packages to fill a variety of needs and budgets.

I have been stuck with writers block! So many ideas swirling in my head, but, when I start to write, I either goo blank or decide it sounds stupid.

Tonight, I decided heck with it, I’m just going to write my day!

My mornings start off with Coffee!! During this time, I check messages, team pages, and scroll facebook for a bit.

Then, I go through my list of affirmations, and write down 10 things I’m thankful for in my life.

After that, I turn on an audio book, check my planner, and do about an hour or so of work.

Today, I put together business info folders. Let me know if you’d like one!

Next in my day is Munchkin’s schoolwork, lunch, and finish school. My husband usually comes in for lunch, so we get to spend time with him.

Today was beautiful, so we loaded up a couple of our dogs and went for a hike this afternoon.

I love my business! It allows me to spend my days with my kids, and go do fun things!

But, I do have to actually spend some time working it – you can’t treat your business like a hobby and expect to make real money at it. Granted, I do not have to spend 8 hours a day chained to my desk. In fact, this morning, I set my printer for everything I needed for the folders, then, went outside. It is great!

Does anyone do time blocks? Do you have any tips? That is what I’m working on doing with my daily, personal schedule.

Doll house update

In case anyone was wondering….

Yes. We are working on it. No. It’s not built yet.

It would be nice if I had time to just work on it until it’s finished, but, life keeps interfering. Lol

We do have the sides and most of the trim painted, sanded, and painted again. There are several pieces that we’re just not sure what color they’re supposed to be.

My husband suggested we go ahead and start building, and paint those pieces as we figure out what they are.

This really is fun, although sometimes my patience runs a little thin. Short periods of time working on it with a 5 year old seem to be best. She really loves this project!

I couldn’t believe my nails still looked good as much scrubbing as it took to get the paint off! I really thought I’d have to redo them!

Strength

During a conversation today with a new friend, the phrase ‘God never gives you more than you can handle’ was said. I had to disagree with her, and pointed out that I believe God provides the strength you need to get through.

That small part of the conversation keeps going through my mind. So, here I am writing. 😁

She was right – God doesn’t give more than I can handle because all the crap doesn’t come from God! God didn’t make my son fall asleep at the wheel and end up in a wheelchair with a TBI. But, God was there, and my son is still alive and continuing to have improvements even after 6 years!

God isn’t giving my husband increased problems with his breathing and blood pressure. God didn’t give my other adult children the crap problems going on that I don’t want to discuss at this time. God hasn’t caused my water heater to leak, or my water softener to be messing up worse every week or all the problems showing up with my car. (Yes, I’m really starting to feel overwhelmed with all the things breaking down!)

But, God is here. Holding me up and giving me strength to get through each day. (I could use a lot more patience though, God, if you’ve got time for that request. 😉)

God is here, giving me hope that things will improve. The psalm says though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil. It doesn’t say set up camp and live there. I am moving on through to the other side!
